People call me crazy for not wanting to gain 1lb

Every time I’m in the US, I gain weight. While in the middle of weight loss mode, I thought I would re-post my blog from 2014. People keep calling me crazy for I will not allow myself to gain even 1 lb. Because of this craziness, I’ve been able to maintain the same weight since age 16. As an adult I’ve been doing an MBTA for as long as I can remember to help me exercise at least 3 times a week. However as my metabolism has been slowing, I’ve had to increase it from 3 to 6 times per week. My kids tell me I should let myself go since I’m 59 years old. People say that gaining only a lb. will not make me fat, so I should let go and enjoy myself.

However, if I allow myself to gain 1 this month, that means I have the liberty to gain 1 next month, and so on. Therefore the best thing is to avoid that slippery slope and keep exercising now.

People may be right in thinking I’m a bit crazy, but this MBTA has been quite effective. I love the fact that I maintain my health naturally (1 of my elements I need for a happy life) and that it makes me feel good when people always ask, how I stay so young. But this MBTA also does more than get me to exercise. It helps me get more control over my life. It shows me that I can do anything I set my mind to do. In essence, it makes me feel better about me.
